On Saturday, May 12th, HRI will be participating in the World Migratory Bird Day Festival.  Hemlocks play a key role in the habitat of several bird species so we are excited to be participating in this event to help celebrate 2018 as the Year of the Bird.  The Festival will be held from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at Bridge Park in Sylva, NC (76 Railroad Ave.).  It is FREE and open to the public. There will be a wide variety of activities and displays appropriate for nature lovers, families, and children, including live bird presentations by the Balsam Mountain Trust with several birds of prey.  See the flyer below for more details or check out the event page on the Balsam Mountain Trust website.
