Join HRI and the NC Cooperative Extension – Buncombe County Center on Monday, March 23 from 10 am to noon for a presentation and discussion of hemlocks and management options for HWA.

The event will consist of classroom-style presentations and a brief field assessment of hemlocks at the Buncombe County Cooperative Extension Center. The presentation will provide background and context for the various adelgid treatment options, emphasizing the ecological importance and value of hemlocks in urban and community forests, the biology of HWA and other hemlock pests, and integrated pest management strategies.
