Join HRI on Thursday, October 15 at 6:30 p.m for a virtual presentation with the North Carolina Arboretum. This program will review of the importance of hemlocks in wild and urban settings and then provide an overview of the implementation of a regional IPM strategy to manage HWA, with an emphasis on chemical control as a primary tool available to all landowners in NC. We will discuss which hemlock management options are best suited for specific situations, including when and how to hire a tree care professional.

This presentation will serve as the introduction and background information for the Protecting Your Hemlocks Field Experience during which participants will get hands-on practice with tree health assessment and multiple DIY treatment application methods.

See details and register on the NC Arboretum website. This portion is free with a suggested donation to support education programing at the NC Arboretum.
