Monday, June 12: Hope for the Hemlocks presentation as part of the Lake Johnson Park Environmental Lecture Series
HRI staff will present on the importance of hemlocks, the hemlock woolly adelgid that threatens them, and what can be done to ensure that there is hope for the hemlocks in North Carolina.
Saturday, June 17: HRI at the Upper French Broad Riverfest
Join us for free, family-friendly festival with live local music, hands-on educational activities from many local businesses, interactive displays about the French Broad River, a scavenger hunt with prizes for kids and adults, free tubing for everyone, food trucks, and more.
