On Friday, April 5th, the Hemlock Restoration Initiative trained a class of UNC Asheville students on our hemlock treatment methods.

The invasive species class that participated in the workshop is taught by Dr. Dee Eggers, who leads hemlock treatment on the UNCA campus. This workshop, however, took place off-campus at the Violet Hill and Green Hill cemeteries in Asheville. Students treated over twenty large hemlocks in these areas, assuring that the trees will continue lending their majestic presence for years to come.
