We are thrilled and honored that HRI’s director Margot Wallston and outreach associate Thom Green will be featured in a four-part interview on 103.3 Asheville FM’s The Fusion Forest radio show.
The Fusion Forest is a weekly show that airs Mondays from 11 a.m. to noon and features “cerebral, genre-blending music complemented with discussions of environmental science.” Listen live on 103.3 FM in the Asheville area or online at www.ashevillefm.org. The first part aired on Dec. 14, 2020, and the other three parts will air the following Mondays. You can stream the most recent episode on The Fusion Forest show page, and a full version of the interview without music is available on The Fusion Forest podcast page.
In the interview Margot and Thom give an overview of hemlocks, some background on the biology of HWA, a discussion of current and future strategies to combat HWA, and the history and future of the HRI program. Thanks to Fusion Forest host, Leif Olsen, for featuring hemlocks and HRI on his show. We thoroughly enjoyed our conversation with Leif and hope you will tune in.
