Due to inclement weather on 4/19, we have rescheduled this volunteer day to 5/10. All other details remain the same.

On Friday, May 10th, join the Hemlock Restoration Initiative and the Blue Ridge Conservancy in treating hemlock trees to safeguard them against the invasive and deadly hemlock woolly adelgid. This event is one of several being offered as part of WNC for the Planet’s month long celebration of Earth Day.

This hemlock treatment will take place at the Valle Crucis Conference Center in Banner Elk, NC, a beautiful property with plenty of hemlocks that is protected by the Blue Ridge Conservancy. We will be treating hemlocks from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

If you are interested in volunteering with us on May 10th, please fill out our volunteer sign-up form by Monday, May 6th, indicating the date you are interested in.
