The Allison-Deaver House in Brevard will host the Hemlock Restoration Initiative from 2-3pm on Sunday September 9th, 2018 for an informational walk and talk on the grounds of this historic home.

This program will provide background on how hemlock woolly adelgid is ‘bugging’ hemlocks in North Carolina, discuss hemlock management options and provide attendees with resources on how to manage their own trees.

Join the HRI and the Allion-Deaver House again in October for a day-long workshop where we will get our hands dirty performing treatments on the trees at the Allion-Deaver House and ensuring that these hemlocks remain healthy and persist as part of this important, historic landmark.
